The 2025 version of the Ezone 98 is a strong evolution of the 98 sq in category from Yonex. The improvements in comfort (Minolon), maneuverability, and the refined geometry make it more accessible than many past “98 control” frames — yet still retain the precision, feel and quality one expects in that class.

We would say the target audience is for the advanced baseline player. You get a very polished package: great feel, good power, solid stability, and a premium brand build. My only caveats are: it won’t feel as lively or spin-crazy as some frames, and you’ll need to have solid technique to exploit its strengths.
